All Basic specialties are manned by In House Doctors and Super Specialists in most fo the Departments are on the call Basis. Our Health Care outreach programmes to cover BPL segments also address different sections of the population including women and children at different schools and other places.
OBG: The team is lead by 3 full time Consultants Headed by Sr Dr Annie JMJ and 2 part timers in addition to visiting consultants with Round the Clock labour Room and OT. Cases in labour come from 3 to 4 surrounding districts on Regular and Emergency basis and we are next only to Govt General Hospital in the number of OPD Cases and the number of Deliveries per day. The Cross Referrals and inter departmental Academic interactions makes our Institute a good place to opt for an aspiring PG. We request female doctors who want to specialize in OBG to consider our Institute as one of their top priorities.
Paediatrics: The Pediatrics Dept , very much a part of Our Mother & Child Services over decades evolved into full fledged Wing on it’s own with our Neonatology unit NICU serving the needs of significant number of New borns in our Hospital. We have NIV, Ventilator and othe state of the art equipment to take care of the units and high risk pediatric cases.
TB & Chest Medicine: Our Pulmonary & Intensive Care wing is one of the first in Costal Andhra Pradesh 3 decades ago to establish a Non Cardiac Medical ICU with facilities of Mechanical Ventilation and Central Monitoring. We also have other facilities like NIV, ABG, Fibre Optic Bronchoscopy, PFT and work in Coordination with local Govt. facilities and WHO Representatives in TB Control Programmes addressing all the mandatory Academic requirements for Diploma in Chest Medicine.
Track Records and achievements: We have a record of 100 % pass percentage of all the Candidates in all the three faculties till now. Average percentage of marks is 55% plus and all of our students who opted to go for Post Diploma DNB did very well in PDCET with ranks in top 10 and got placements in excellent Institutes as per their Choice. One of our Candidates in Pediatrics stood all India 1st claiming the Gold Medal in Pediatrics Diploma and 2 candidates from Chest Medicine claimed state level Honours in Paper presentations and Chest Radiology.
